Richard Wallace: The Slide

psst, hey Baseball fans, this particular slide look familiar to you? I'll give you a hint: 1992 NLCS)
So here's a little backstory for Richard. When he was growing up he loved baseball, and he played it all the way until his senior year of high school (around 4 years prior to being enrolled into Royce University) in Tampa, Florida. He was indeed good at it, but he wasn't good enough to go pro or even be looked at by major, except for one where he signed on. After a year he dropped out of college and relocated to Blueville, South Carolina (fictional town, don't look it up) where he worked as a mechanic under Owen Gordon who taught him everything he knew. But back to baseball, in Richard's senior year, he led his underdog team to the Hillsborough County Championship game where he managed to slide home safe in the bottom of the 7th (as high school games don't go to the 9th inning)as the winning run. This moment is forever immortalized as “The Slide” and Richard's little brother Davey (who is in the stands with the parents) would be left with large shoes to fill when he would enter HS, and it propelled the Benn Hill Griffin HS Fighters to the Florida state championship playoffs, where they were eliminated in the first round. To this day, Richard would tell you this was his finest hour in all of high school.
