After the great war ended with a bang the freshly formed republic faced new obstacles forming on the horizon, extremists seeing their chance to tear down democracy and replace it with a dictatorship.
To not rely on the states to defend the peace the newly elected democratic government has formed a new guard under its direct comand with 3 branches. To not become overwhelmed by the assault of extremists from either side they put up a fight early on, elminating the heads in the 20s who seek destruction and power.

Andreas being an experienced officer quickly signed up for duty becoming an officer of the Republican Guard, namely the Jaegerkompanie. His ties to the overseas armies that he built in the battle of brothers comes in handy quite well. Not only for acquiring new ammo for his Colt 1911 that he got as a token of thankfulness from an US officer who he saved. He yet doesn't know which great service he will do for the peace and also not the burden he will have to endure. Nothing comes without a cost and some have to pay the price for it, even if it is by shedding blood.
