Prepare to be enchanted! What's your fantasy? ;0)
Although Rayén has her primary duties as a noble within a kingdom on her Renaissance based world, she does have a hobby on the side as a gypsy witch to help keep her informed on events during her travels to other worlds in the the Fantasy Realm. Besides botany, which is her most favorite interest, Rayén is also into astrology and divination as part of her magical abilities in enchantment. In her spare time, she does fortune telling at Renaissance fairs on other worlds. Rayén prefers to keep her life private for the most part, though, and doesn't associate with any gypsy caravans as she sometimes uses this potential gambit for undercover work. This includes the possibility of changing her form as well. Rayén doesn't always dress as a gypsy during her fortune telling, but being the occasional tease that she is, this mischievous vixen doesn't mind having some fun from time to time...even more so nowadays to a certain mate of hers. ^_^
While Rayén prefers to provide good fortunes to all of her customers, she will be honest and forthcoming in letting them know if anything within their futures show bad outcomes. She will offer the best solutions to remedy such probabilities so they can prosper. For the most part, her customers are quite appreciable...including making a number of wonderful friends along the way. Like anything in life, though, there are the sporadic bad apples. Rayén has ways of handling such things, being a sorceress first and foremost. Her tarot cards are enchanted, after all, and may provide more to a path in one's life than just a prediction.
As some may already know, tarot was originally played during the Renaissance period as a card game. They weren't actually used for divination until the Age of Enlightenment around 300 years later. Rayén loves playing card games as well, although not so much for gambling purposes. With that said, though, I'd be careful of playing cards against a mage regardless. They have such ways of gaining the upper hand on things. Foxx did beat Rayén in UNO a few times, but I'm sure she let him. She is well aware of the 'James Bond trick' he pulled on her a while back using tarot cards. What is revealed on such card pulls using enchanted cards can sometimes be based on the perceptions of the drawer...not always of the fortune teller. It wouldn't have really mattered in this case, as the two were already in love by that time. If Rayén gets into your head and temporarily alters your sense of reality, you're certainly in for a tease. ;0P
Rev and I do collect tarot card sets...more so for the admiration of artworks than for actual divination or game play. The game of tarot is not of major interest here in the United States as it is in Europe. There is an older tarot card deck called Gypsy Witch, which is why I labeled the title of this art piece as such. One of the best in the business of creating tarot cards is Ciro Marchetti, as we've purchased some decks from him directly. Feel free to check out his website
here if you'd like. There are plenty of other vendors to choose from as well who have just as majestic and wondrous tarot card sets.
Yeppers...our favorite Aussie dingo,
Toxi De Vyne, did this creative artwork as well. Special thanks to her as always. I like the otherworldly appearance of this piece. Trick-or-treat! :0)
